Whats in your water softener?
Water softeners are also referred to as water conditioner and can conflict with KYK genesis water ionizers. It conditions water with too much minerals in it. Water will be soft when minerals and scale are removed from the water. Usually when we use hard water, soaps does not dissolve completely instead it merges with the minerals and form a glutinous soap curd that adhere to the skin. Since less soap is dissolved, you need more soap. So when you use water softener in your water, you will no longer need too much soap and no more coagulated soap that will hold and cling to. In your laundry the soap curd are trapped in the clothes fibers making it hard and rough. These insoluble soap deposits stain on your car, dishes and everything you wash. In your bath and shower, you will see a soap film is being accumulated. Using hard water can also affect your plumbing system. It lessens the flow of water to your appliances and taps because of the building up calcium and magnesium deposits in your pipes. These problems can be remedied by getting rid of the calcium and magnesium through the use of water softener. A usual water softener is mechanical equipment that is installed in your home’s water supply system. Its operating principle is to deal with minerals in exchange of sodium called the ion exchange process. The main component of a water softener is a mineral tank with a tube operating up and down the center. The water goes through the tank to the top and runs down the tank to the bottom of the tube called distributor. From the distributor, water runs up to the top of the tank until it reaches out to your faucets.
